Biometric Identification System for Driver Control
The driver control system is aimed at reducing the ability of drivers who are not licensed to drive private motor vehicles, and assist the Ministry of Transport and the Israel Police in enforcing the law. A biometric identification will be carried out by means of a unit that will be fitted to the vehicle, which will inhibit starting the vehicle in the event that the driver is limited from the “licensed to drive” aspect. The solution will lead to a reduction in the unsanctioned use of private motor vehicles and reduce the factors leading to road accidents, such as: A rookie driver driving in contravention of the law, driving without a license / with a revoked driver’s license, etc.
