Loneliness and cognitive decline significantly impact the elderly. Isolation can lead to mental health struggles, while cognitive decline affects memory, reasoning, and overall well-being. Reminiscence therapy, centered around shared memories, proves valuable. By encouraging seniors to revisit and discuss past experiences, it fosters social connections, uplifts mood, and enhances cognitive function. However, phrasing memories and placing them in a common context demands considerable effort.

RnD Objectives

In this project, we harness the power of generative AI techniques to elevate reminiscence therapy to new heights. Our goal is to streamline the process of documenting and contextualizing memories by leveraging advanced AI algorithms. Through this innovative approach, we seek to automatically capture and organize reminiscences, thereby deriving valuable therapeutic insights from the collected data. By analyzing the content and context of these memories, our system aims to uncover meaningful patterns and connections, facilitating a deeper understanding of individuals' experiences and emotions. Ultimately, our project aims to enhance the effectiveness and accessibility of reminiscence therapy, providing individuals with a more personalized and impactful therapeutic experience.
