ENGINEERING THE FUTURE OF THE START-UP NATION

THE NEW AFEKA COLLEGE CAMPUS IN THE SOUTH-EAST DISTRICT OF TEL AVIV-YAFO -

A FORWARD-LOOKING ACADEMIC VISION WITH NATIONAL, SOCIOECONOMIC AND URBAN IMPACT

THE VISION

ENGINEERING DRIVING LOCAL AND NATIONAL GROWTH

In partnership with the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality and Israel's Council for Higher Education Planning and Budgeting Committee, Afeka College is constructing an ambitious new campus in Tel Aviv's developing Yad Eliyahu neighborhood in South-East Tel Aviv.

State-of-the-art facilities will house leading programs in engineering and science, tackling pressing challenges on community and national scales. Bustling with around-the-clock academic life, the large campus will serve as a platform for the best engineering education available in Israel, attracting top tech talent and increasing the skilled human capital entering the Israeli high-tech industry, all while providing innovative services and activities to secure prosperity for the surrounding area.

THE IMPACT

CULTIVATING TALENT AND OPPORTUNITY

At the root of all technological innovation are people, making engineers the true force behind Israel’s high-tech industry. As Israel strives to lead globally, boost its economy and increase export, producing these skilled professionals is imperative.

For years Afeka has spearheaded strategic changes to enrich engineering education and equip talented, industry-ready graduates. Afeka has progressed its programs to align with current tech sector needs – embedding abilities like critical thinking, team collaboration, self-directed learning and effective communication into an educational process that is relevant to modern-day students and to current industry needs.

This has led to steady expanding of Afeka’s student body and applicants. The new Yad-Eliyahu campus will accelerate this momentum, allowing a 50% enrollment surge to yield 1,000 additional world-class engineers annually.

Beyond growing top talent, embracing our role as an anchor institution allows Afeka to positively shape the entire region. Establishing an academic and innovation hub in a developing area will organically bring commerce and opportunity – acting as a catalyst to transform the area.

Afeka’s new campus plan represents a commitment to inclusive opportunities for social mobility. Beyond state-of-the-art facilities and strong educational programs – our commitment to cultivating an empowering socio-educational ecosystem will allow the community to access the tools to excel in science and technology, clearing their own paths to success.

The new campus will build a unique socio-economic-educational ecosystem that promotes excellence and innovation in science and technology as a basis for social mobility

THE JOURNEY

A CORNERSTONE IN ISRAEL"S FUTURE

Construction will soon be underway on phase one of this pioneering new campus, establishing a cornerstone in Israel's technology future.

Four state-of-the-art academic buildings will anchor the campus, encircling vibrant common spaces designed to blur lines between studying, collaboration, and community. Outdoor central plazas, rooftop lounges, and semi-private courtyards will organically bring people together, while transparent building exteriors allow openness and visibility.

Adjacent commercial areas and student housing will further integrate campus life with the neighborhood. An inclusive central square will connect students and residents, hosting public gatherings and events.

This initial phase sets the trajectory for an expanding hub of innovation and opportunity – a springboard for the next generation of Israeli talent equipped with the mindset, skillset, and network to lead the Startup Nation.
